Ms Jennifer Frances Bakyawa

About the Fellow: Jennifer Bakyawa holds a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication. She was attached to The Monitor Publications Limited.  Jennifer enabled the monitor newspaper to broaden and deepen the scope of its coverage of HIV/AIDS related information using factual and personal testimonies.

Dr Jim Arinaitwe  

About the Fellow: Dr. Jim Arinaitwe holds a MPH and a Bachelors degree in Medicine and surgery. He was hosted at Uganda AIDS Commission. Jim played a leading role in the development of national monitoring and evaluation framework for the national response against HIV/AIDS in Uganda. He also spearheaded the process of mainstreaming HIV/AIDS activities in the Ministries of energy and water resources; works and housing and communication, finance and economic development, and in Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP).

Ms Linda Kavuma

About the Fellow:  Linda Kavuma holds a MSc. Health Systems Management, and a BA Social Sciences.  She was attached to STD/ACP Ministry of Health. Linda developed monitoring and evaluation tools, budgeted and made work plans for all Home Based Care activities. She established networks with partners and stakeholders involved in the provision of comprehensive care for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Dr Primo Madra  

About the Fellow:  Dr.  Primo Madra holds a MPH and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Primo was attached to AIDS Information Centre (AIC). As a Fellow he helped in streamlining the AIC district capacity to provide VCT services.

Mr Erasmus Otolok Tanga

About the Fellow:  Erasmus Otolok – Tanga holds a MPH and a Bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration (SWSA). Erasmus was hosted at Hospice Uganda. While there he conducted an evaluation of Hospice, participated in the development of the strategic plan, development of research audit training module, development of the human resources manual, education department course review, drawing annual plans and general management.

Dr Christine Nabiryo

About the Fellow:  Dr. Christine Nabiryo holds a MPH and a Bachelors degree in medicine and surgery. She was attached to TASO Uganda. Christine contributed to the design and roll out of the TASO ART Program; established research collaborations, strengthening abstract writing and paper presentation for dissemination of TASO experiences.

Mr Timothy Waiswa Wakabi  

About the Fellow:  Timothy Wakabi holds a Masters in statistics and a B.(Stat). He was hosted at Kitovu Mobile Home Care. He developed a database for Kitovu Mobile Home Care. He also carried out capacity building of staff in data management and analysis.
